More winners on CafeNET

5 May 2004

Congratulations John Patson for winning 5GB of free CafeNET data, valued at over $1000!!!!

John used CafeNET in March and was selected at random to win the major prize. As it turns out John is a worthy winner, given his response to hearing that he had won the prize:

"Anyway CafeNET for me is a great service. I do not have phone lines so......use Wi-Fi to connect to the Net. I can clear my emails and surf for a reasonable cost.....although downloading things like Windows updates can be more expensive.

I use a company in the USA & an Internet phone for making telephone calls. It costs 1c per minute worldwide. Using around 400k bytes of data per minute, it equates to around 15 cents per minute which is far cheaper than using tolls.

Once you have used the high speed data transfer going back to a 56k modem is like slowing down from 160kph to 50kph in a car. CafeNET is a great service for not only business people but everyone. If you do not have an ISP then CafeNET is a real economic option and the prepay account is great"

Well done John, and the 5GB should last a few toll calls yet.......
