CafeNET News - June 2004

4 June 2004

More free weekends

The team at CafeNET really appreciate the support the Wellington community are giving our broadband WiFi network - so we've decided to provide free CafeNET for every weekend in June. Enjoy - and pass it on to your friends who may not be as "well connected" as you.

Broadband at the Stadium

There's been a bunch of new locations come on recently, the highest profile one being our own Westpac Stadium. The major meeting rooms (East-West Longes; Deloitte Lounge) plus the photographers area are now fully "Wi-Fi'd" so broadband access is available whilst you are in meetings; exhibiting; or just watching your favourite sport.

Other new CafeNET venues include the Massey campus; Chamber of Commerce; Bar155 on the Terrace and POD on Victoria St.

Really Cheap Phone Calls

Check out https://cafenet.co.nz/services.html to find out how to use CafeNET to call your family and friends here and overseas for incredibly low rates. Calls to the UK; USA and Australia (for example) from as little as four cents per minute*; or NZ calls for five cents a minute* - how good is that??

Bulk CafeNET at a Better Price

Occasionally a user will contact us who needs to move bulk data for a specific purpose, and whilst they can use CafeNET, they have budgetary constraints. If you are in the situation of needing to transfer a GB or more of traffic relatively quickly, then contact for some bulk data pricing.

Alternatively ISP's that resell CafeNET include www.compass.net.nz and http://www.dts.net.nz/

Win an iPod

As with all our free weekend months, one lucky CafeNET user in June will win an Apple iPod - these are the hottest, funkiest toys around - so be in to win.
